Need a hand? Email support@emojimatch.us and you'll get a reply within a few days. Telling us your device, iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong makes it much faster to fix.
How to play
Every card shares exactly one emoji with the card in the middle. Find it, tap it, score a point. A round lasts 90 seconds and the highest score wins.
- Play solo — start immediately, on your own, no connection needed.
- Create a room — you get a four-letter room code and a link to share. Anyone who opens it joins your game.
- Normal vs Challenge — Normal deals eight emoji per card; Challenge deals nine, so matches are harder to spot.
Common problems
I can't join my friend's room
Check the four-letter code is entered exactly, and that your friend hasn't closed the room — a room disappears once everyone leaves it. If tapping a shared link opens Safari instead of the app, open the app and type the room code in manually.
There's no sound
Sound effects and music each have their own switch in Settings (the gear icon on the main menu and in the lobby). Also check your device isn't on silent and the volume is up. On the web, some browsers hold audio back until you've tapped the page once.
I got disconnected mid-game
Rejoin the same room and your seat and score come back automatically for about 30 minutes. After that the room has moved on and you'll join as a new player.
The game won't load
Solo play works with no connection, but creating and joining rooms needs the internet. If multiplayer is failing while everything else online works, the server may be briefly down — try again in a few minutes, then email us if it persists.
Someone in my room chose an offensive name
Rooms are only reachable by people who have the code, so the quickest fix is to leave and create a new room without sharing the code with them. If you'd like to report it to us, email support@emojimatch.us.
Privacy
No accounts, no analytics of our own, and no tracking across other apps or websites. The iOS app shows an occasional non-personalized ad between games, and Google's ad SDK collects some technical data of its own when it does; the website shows no ads at all. The full details are in the privacy policy.
Ads
The iOS app shows a full-screen ad after a completed game — never more than once a minute, and never after your first game. Ads come from Google AdMob and are non-personalized: the app never asks to track you and never reads your device's advertising identifier. Google's SDK does collect technical data of its own to serve the ad; the privacy policy lists what.
To report an ad that is inappropriate, offensive, or not suitable for the age rating, email support@emojimatch.us with the subject "Ad report". A screenshot and roughly when you saw it are the most useful things to include — that is usually enough to identify the advertiser and block it.
In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland you can change your ad consent at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options in the app.
Report a bug or suggest a feature
Both go to the same place — support@emojimatch.us. For a bug, the most useful things to include are your device and iOS version, whether you were playing solo or in a room, and what you expected to happen instead.
